Educational Philosophy
My Philosophy of education and art is that of an integral perspective. A perspective that allows students and teachers to work openly within the institutions of art, education, and technology. Although these areas are heavily influential in my specific classroom, we also seek to encompass wider, higher, and more integral perspectives. I believe that all of the disciplines within the instituion of education have the potential to or already are coming together in shapes and forms which we may not be aware of. In my art classroom it is my job to directly or indirectly teach integral concepts of art for students to broaden their perspectives and enhance creativity.
I hope for students for students entering my class to either begin or deepen their relationship with art and creativity. Many relationships can be created in the different ways of seeing and interacting with the art of an artist, and in students creating and developing their own artistic style. I hope students will take away a new perspective and appreciation for all art and artists. I hope students will be able to use their own lives as outlets of creativity no matter where they are in life, and come to see the universal creativity that is apart of the lives of all human beings.
